Here at Fulford Pre School, we have a strong team of friendly and dedicated staff.
Fulford Pre School is a registered charity run by an elected parent/carer Committee, with an Annual General Meeting (AGM) held once a year and monthly Committee meetings.

Staff Training and Development
We encourage all permanent members of staff to hold a formal childcare qualification (or its equivalent). Staff are also encouraged to complete First Aid and Child Safeguarding courses. Courses are run by the City of York Early Years Partnership, and all staff have access to these courses, as supported by our appraisal process and the committee..

Once your child starts at the Pre-School you are automatically members of the Pre-School. As the Pre-School is a registered charity (No.1171257) it is run by an elected parent/carer Committee, with an Annual General Meeting (AGM) held once a year and monthly Committee meetings.
The Committee have ultimate responsibility for the management, the finances and employment of staff. The committee work closely with staff to ensure the Pre-School achieves its objectives and is successful in meeting its goals. Copies of our Constitution and Committee minutes are available to all parents and staff.
The Committee and staff organise various events during the year for parents and children to raise money for the Pre-School. We try to keep our fees as low as we can, so equipment and toys for the Pre-School must come from money fundraised, donations or grants. We also gather support from local businesses and parents who can make generous donations of prizes. All funds raised are placed into a Fundraising Account and are only allocated when the Committee approve the expenditure.
Get Involved!
Our parents are a great asset and have helped organise events including visits to the local church, Curry and Quiz nights and Christmas Parties. Parents can also help if they are employed by a large or small firm who make charitable donations. Please let our committee know as we can apply for funding from these companies.
There are lots of ways to be involved with the Pre-School, including attending committee meetings, help at and support fundraising events, share a skill or talent with the children, or help out at the Pre-School if a staff member is training or ill.
